After every storm comes a rainbow
Greetings dearest traveler! It's a Friday or how I like to call it... Friyay! This week has been so stressful yet so fun. Whenever I'm feeling down, I remember this phrase: "After every storm comes a rainbow". The first half of the week was rough with a lot of tough assignments—a storm. However, the second half of the week has been very enjoyable, I got to play Roblox's new event, get into Devil May Cry (my brand new BIG hyperfixation!), free pie for π day, listen to Carti's new album. and feel the relief of this week finally being over—a rainbow!
“The more a thing is perfect, the more it feels pleasure and pain.”
— Dante, The Divine Comedy.
That storm and rainbow is just another part of life. In essence, to live is to fight for it. It will always be a balance between good and bad. To exist is to have neither or an excess of the other; you wouldn't know what happiness or sadness is without experiencing the other. In the end, they will eventually balance themselves out. You cannot escape pain, it's just another part of life, as with the pleasure that comes with it. That is why I am still living despite the many traumas I had to experience. I am a winner, a loser, and most importantly, a fighter, all at once.
Music for this evening will be mostly DMC related. It is my hyperfixation now, everyone shall get sentenced to at least one hearing of a DMC song! I can't stress this enough, but heavy metal heavily fits with the badass and flamboyant nature of DMC.
- Devils Never Cry — "Feel the sorrow the light has swallowed; Feel the freedom like no tomorrow"
- Devil Trigger — "I'm a wildfire you won't tame; Igniting my temper, can't put out my flame"
- Shall Never Surrender — "Through our strength, we'll make a better day; Tomorrow, we shall never surrender."
- Fill in The Blank — "You haven't tried hard enough to like it; Haven't seen enough of this world yet"
- On The Moon — "Let's indulge a life of lunacy, I feel it's overdue; Dream away and we can make it to the rabbits on the moon"
Even if you have no interest in DMC, at least check out the soundtrack! The production is absolutely crazy, I've never heard a game put this much love into a soundtrack. For me, it's a strong contender for the greatest soundtrack in all of gaming.
